On March 23, 2024, Archbishop Simon of Brussels and Belgium and the clergy of the diocese celebrated a memorial service at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Brussels for those killed in a terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region.
During the memorial service, prayers were offered "for the servants of God who were innocently killed in a terrorist act in Krasnogorsk," the diocesan website reports.
The memorial service was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Belgium A.A. Tokovinin and his wife. Sympathetic parishioners from different parishes of the Brussels-Belgian diocese also gathered in the church to commemorate the dead.
