On July 9, 2026, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed Decree No. 477 "On celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of St. Luke of Crimea (V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky)."
The document defines the dates of organizational events to prepare for the celebration of the memorable date. In particular, the decree says:
"Considering the significant contribution of St. Luke of Crimea (V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky) to the preservation and development of spiritual and moral traditions, the development of medicine, science, and in connection with the 150th anniversary of his birth in 2027, I decree:
1. To hold events in 2027 dedicated to the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of St. Luke of Crimea (V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky).
2. To the Government of the Russian Federation within three months:
a) to form an organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of St. Luke of Crimea (V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky) and approve its composition;
b) ensure the development and approval of a plan of basic measures for the preparation and celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of St. Luke of Crimea (V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky).
3. Recommend that federal government agencies, government agencies of the subjects of the Russian Federation, local governments, religious and other organizations participate in the preparation and holding of events dedicated to the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of St. Luke of Crimea (V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky).
The decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, entered into force on the day of its signing.
The Russian President signed a decree on celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of St. Luke of Crimea in 2027.
