The results of the pedagogical competition "Serafimov Teacher — 2026" have been summed up at the St. Seraphim of Sarov Charitable Foundation.
According to the results of the competition, the honorary title of "Serafimov Teacher" was awarded to eight nominees, the honorary title of "Serafimov Mentor" to three, and the title of "Serafimov Educator" to three. 37 contestants became laureates of the pedagogical prize, 49 people received a special award, 112 received an incentive award. Three nominees were thanked by the St. Seraphim of Sarov Foundation. At the suggestion of the expert council, in the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia, the award "For Merits in preserving and broadcasting cultural and historical memory" was established, which awarded 56 participants of the competition.
1,218 people have registered to participate in the 2026 contest (30% more than in 2025). The geography of the competition is the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus (Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Minsk regions).
Teachers from 73 subjects of the Russian Federation participate in the competition (15 more than in 2025), including from the regions of the Volga Federal District (all subjects: the Republics of Bashkortostan, Mari El, Mordovia, Tatarstan, Udmurt and Chuvash Republics; Perm Krai; Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg, Penza, Samara, Saratov and Ulyanovsk regions — 14 regions); The Central Federal District (Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Moscow, Oryol, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tambov, Tver, Tula, Yaroslavl regions; the federal city of Moscow — 17 regions); the North-Western Federal District (the Republics of Karelia, Komi; Arkhangelsk, Vologda Kaliningrad, Leningrad, Murmansk, Novgorod, Pskov regions; federal city of Saint Petersburg — ten regions); Southern Federal District (Republics of Adygea, Crimea, Lugansk People's Republic; Krasnodar Territory; Astrakhan, Volgograd, Rostov regions; federal city of Sevastopol — eight regions); North Caucasus Federal District (Republic of North Ossetia — Alania, Chechen Republic; Stavropol Territory — three regions); Ural Federal District (Kurgan, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk regions; Khanty-Mansiysk, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Regions districts — five regions); Siberian Federal District (Republic of Khakassia; Altai, Krasnoyarsk Territories; Irkutsk, Kemerovo region — Kuzbass, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tomsk regions — eight regions); The Far Eastern Federal District (the Republic of Buryatia; Zabaikalsky, Primorsky, Khabarovsk Territories; Jewish Autonomous Region, Chukotka Autonomous Region; Amur, Sakhalin Regions — eight regions).
For the first time, representatives of the Republic of Adygea, the Chechen Republic, the Lugansk People's Republic, Khanty-Mansiysk, Chukotka, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrugs, as well as the federal city of Sevastopol took part in the competition.
The largest number of applications were received from Nizhny Novgorod, Sverdlovsk, as well as Moscow and Saratov regions (respectively 144, 25; 24 each); Krasnodar Territory, Tambov Region (19 each); Stavropol Territory, Vladimir, Volgograd, Lipetsk Regions (16 each); Leningrad Region (15); the Republics of Mordovia and Tatarstan (by 14).
The majority of the participants in the competition are teachers from secondary schools, which accounts for 53.5% of the total number of applications (urban schools — 37.3%, rural schools — 16.2%); 30% of all applications were sent to employees of preschool educational institutions. 72% of the participants are taking part in the competition for the first time. There are 39 men among the contestants.
One candidate of cultural Studies, five candidates of pedagogical sciences, two candidates of psychological sciences, and one candidate of Philosophical Sciences participated in the competition.
According to age indicators, the representatives of the competition were distributed as follows: over 70 years old — 2.6%; 60-70 years old — 12.7%; 50-60 years old — 36.9%; 40-50 years old — 29.5%; 30-40 years old — 12.7%; 20-30 years old — 5.6%.
