On August 6, a working meeting was held at the Synodal Department of Charity between Deacon Igor Kulikov, Director of the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission and Head of the Department of Social Service of the Synodal Department of Charity, and Yulia Belekhova, head of the Committee of Families of Soldiers of the Fatherland. The meeting was also attended by staff of the Synodal Department of Charity, responsible for the development of church social service in the dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church. The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of interaction between representatives of dioceses and regional branches of the Committee of Families of Soldiers of the Fatherland.
During the meeting, Deacon Igor Kulikov spoke about the work of the unified social assistance hotline of the Russian Orthodox Church 8-800-70-70-222. The meeting participants discussed several difficult requests received recently from relatives of veterans of the special military operation and from those who returned from the front. The algorithm for solving legal issues was analyzed separately.
The meeting participants also discussed the issues of information promotion of projects of the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain regular communication between representatives of the Synodal Department for Charity, who are responsible for handling requests, and employees of the Committee of Families of Soldiers of the Fatherland to provide prompt assistance to needy families of veterans of a special military operation.
