On August 1, the All-Russian Russia Under Cover Motor Rally started from the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow to Sakhalin in support of Orthodox traditions of entrepreneurship and the revival of Russian philanthropy.
Russian Russian Orthodox Church reported that the rally "with prayer for the strengthening of the Orthodox faith, the spiritual unity of the people, as well as for the protection of soldiers, entrepreneurs and all residents of Russia" was organized by the Noble Charitable Foundation with the assistance of the Delo in the Name of Faith Foundation for the Development of Creative Entrepreneurship and the support of the regional offices of the World Russian People's Council and the dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church.Thomas" organizers.
During the 11,000-kilometer journey, the convoy will also take part in the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok.
Among the participants of the rally were Andrei Khapochkin, Senator from the Sakhalin Region, and Archpriest Viktor Gorbach, dean of the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk District Deanery and head of the diocesan missionary department.
– In my work, I deal a lot with infrastructure, roads and the economy – this is an important framework for our country. But we all understand that there are people behind any government achievements. And people need support, faith and common traditional values. This is the very foundation without which it is impossible to build a strong state, an honest business, or a strong family," the senator commented on his participation in the procession.
An important part of the expedition will be the strengthening of traditional spiritual and moral values in the business environment, as well as the popularization of the culture of creative entrepreneurship and Russian patronage.
Thus, according to Andrey Gusarov, President of the Delo in the Name of Faith Foundation, meetings with representatives of regional business communities will be held in each of the more than 10 cities along the route.
It is noted that participants of such meetings "will be able to learn more about domestic traditions of charity and patronage, about examples of patron saints of entrepreneurs, as well as discuss how the principles of responsibility, service and helping one's neighbor can be implemented in modern business practice."
Entrepreneurs will also be informed about the opportunities to participate in social, charitable and educational initiatives of the project.
A solemn prayer service was held before the start of the rally. More than 200 believers were able to venerate the miraculous icon of the Mother of God "Troeruchitsa" and the icon of the patron saints of entrepreneurs, who will walk the entire route together with the expedition participants. In all major cities along the route, believers will also be able to venerate the shrines.
– On the way to today, we have faced many difficulties, more than once we felt resistance and ran into obstacles. But our cause is absolutely right. We pray incessantly, and no matter what trials await us ahead on this long journey, we rely on the most solid foundation. As the Apostle Paul said, "If God is with us, who is against us?" said Alexander Yan, president of the Noble Charitable Foundation, before the start of the rally.
With the blessing of Archbishop Nikanor of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Kuril Islands, Abbot Alexy (Andreev), the vicar of the Korsakov Monastery, took part in the prayer service before the start of the rally.
