The Orthodox Mercy Service of Yekaterinburg organized assistance to victims of the consequences of the disaster that struck the Middle Urals. An operational aid headquarters was deployed in the city of Kushva. New bed linen, pillows, blankets, long-term storage products, dishes, and hygiene products were delivered to the victims.  A humanitarian aid center has been set up in the city of Nizhni Sergi. A fundraiser has been opened on the official website of the Service to repair the homes of the victims.
Representatives of the Orthodox Mercy Service of Yekaterinburg request information from local administrations and go to the site at the first sign of distress, without waiting for direct appeals.
"We left just a couple of days after the tornado to see with our own eyes what kind of situation there is, where help is needed and what can be done with our own hands," said Tatiana Ananyina, head of the Orthodox Mercy Service of the Yekaterinburg Diocese.
An operational aid headquarters was set up in the city of Kushva. The staff and volunteers managed to collect and deliver essential items: new bed linen, pillows and blankets, long-term storage products, dishes, as well as personal hygiene products. In addition, dense banners were brought to protect the housing, with which residents were able to close the gaps in the roof before the start of full-fledged repairs.
A humanitarian center was organized in the city of Nizhny Sergi. Thanks to the funds raised (40,000 rubles), the center was able to form food packages, which the victims received free of charge.
The flooding in the Sverdlovsk region affected many residents of the region: at the peak of the flood, in mid—July, water stood in more than 400 houses and over two thousand household plots at the same time, and now assistance and support are especially important for the victims.
Fundraising for building materials for damaged homes continues. For the systematic restoration of houses, the purchase of building materials and repair tools, a cash collection was opened on the official website of the Mercy Service.
