On the day of the celebration of the Wearing Down of the precious Trees of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord and the memory of the seven Maccabean martyrs, the clergy of the Crimean Metropolis delivered a cross to one of the military units, in the lower part of which there is a particle of the tree of the Cross of the Lord and shrines from different places of the Holy Land.
The priests performed a prayer service for the soldiers, walked around the unit with a cross and prayer, and sprinkled holy water on everyone.
At the end of the prayer service and the circumambulation with the cross, the priests congratulated the soldiers on the holidays and the upcoming Dormition Fast. In his parting words, the head of the military department of the Crimean Metropolis, Archpriest Dmitry Krotkov, wished the soldiers spiritual sobriety and abstinence, struggle and victories over the devil and sins, as over the real enemies of the human race.
The clergy gave the consecrated honey of the new harvest to the young conscripts.
