An important event took place at the Navy Training Center for Military Rescue Workers and Divers, an event that will forever remain in the memory of the young fighters.
The cadets of the Military Training Center named after Hero of Russia, Captain 1st Rank A.V. Voskresensky, took the Military Oath, binding their fate to the defense of our country’s maritime borders.
For future divers of the Black Sea Fleet, this ritual became not just a formality, but a moment of deep awareness of the responsibility that is just beginning to fall on their shoulders.
At the solemn ceremony, Archpriest Stefan Slomchinsky, dean of the Chersonese church district, addressed the recruits with a parting word. The priest said that true courage arises not only from physical strength, but also from fortitude of spirit.
Father Stefan urged the young men to draw strength from their faith, reminding them of the spiritual feat of the defenders of the Fatherland.
The celebration ended with a short prayer service for the health of the soldiers.
Ahead of the cadets lay long months of hard study, grueling training, and complete immersion in the craft of diving under the guidance of experienced commanders.
Today they recited the words of the oath, and tomorrow the most important exam will begin — the test of life and service itself. They have yet to become true defenders of Russia, and this journey begins with taking the oath.
