On August 14, 2026, the Public Chamber of the Stavropol Territory hosted a presentation of a booklet in the Romani language (Vlash dialect), prepared by the missionary Department of the Stavropol Diocese.
The text of the booklet in Russian was compiled by the head of the missionary department of the Stavropol Diocese, Ph.D. in Philosophy, Priest Anthony Skrynnikov. The translation into the Vlash dialect was performed by Nikolai Kuzmenko, a graduate of the Stavropol Theological Seminary and a representative of the Gypsy people.
The publication contains information about the Orthodox and Cossack traditions of Stavropol, as well as generally accepted norms of behavior in society. The booklets are planned to be handed over to representatives of the Roma people newly arriving in the Stavropol Territory.
The publication was carried out with the support of the Stavropol regional branch of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia and the Stavropol Linear Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Transport.

March 14, 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill. This is not merely a personal jubilee, but a date of profound significance for the fullness of the Church as a whole, because episcopal consecration is the moment of assuming a special responsibility for the people of God and a witness to the Church’s fidelity to apostolic succession. The calling of the future Primate to episcopal ministry was formally established by a resolution of the Holy Synod in early March 1976; on the eve of the consecration, the rite of nomination took place, and on March 14—on the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy—at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad theological schools, was consecrated Bishop of Vyborg.

By the decision of His Holiness Patriarch Pimen and the Holy Synod of March 3, 1976, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad Theological Academy and Seminary, was elected Bishop of Vyborg, vicar of the Leningrad Diocese.

Exactly 50 years ago, on March 13, 1976, at the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian at the Leningrad Theological Academy, the rite of nomination took place; and on the following day, March 14, the First Sunday of Great Lent, the Feast of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, during the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra in Leningrad, the episcopal consecration of Archimandrite Kirill — the future Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ — was performed. The service was presided over by the ever-memorable Metropolitan Nikodim (Rotov), whom His Holiness Patriarch Kirill calls his spiritual mentor and teacher.
