The chief military priest in the area of the special military operation, Archpriest Dimitri Vasilenkov, visited one of the units performing combat missions on the front line.

Father Dimitri performed a prayer service in the field dugout church, after which the soldiers were presented with shrines, prayer books and crosses. Each soldier was given the opportunity to begin the sacrament of Confession and receive Holy Communion.

In his pastoral address to the military, Father Dimitri touched upon the most important topic — how to remain human in the war and preserve the purity of our souls:
"We, soldiers, cannot defeat the demonic army in any other way except by remaining soldiers of Christ. As soon as we begin to resemble those who wear chevrons with Satanic symbols, we lose our main protection. Victory is forged not only by weapons, but also by inner strength — purity of thought, sincere prayer and mercy."
These words remind every soldier that true courage does not consist in cruelty, but in the ability to preserve faith and human dignity even in the most difficult trials. It is this kind of spiritual steadfastness that becomes the key to an imminent victory.
