From July 14 to 26, 2026, the 10th Missionary Congress was held in the Kyzyl Diocese, which was attended by representatives of the Synodal Missionary Department of the Russian Orthodox Church, missionaries working in Tuva, graduates of online missionary courses of the Kyzyl Diocese and other guests. The congress brought together participants from nine cities of the country.
On July 14, a missionary practice took place in Kyzyl: participants visited a street mission in the city center and practiced a form of preaching called the "Mission Bus." In the evening of the same day, a staged debate took place, during which the skills of polemics with Protestants were practiced.
The official opening of the congress took place in Kyzyl on July 15. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Resurrection Cathedral, which was led by His Eminence Theophan, Archbishop of Korea, governor of the Kyzyl Diocese. After the service, His Eminence addressed the participants of the congress with a welcoming speech, and reports from representatives of the Synodal Missionary Department and the Kyzyl diocese were heard. Diplomas and certificates were also presented to graduates of the online missionary courses for the 2025/2026 academic year.
From July 16 to July 19, the participants of the congress made a missionary expedition to the village of Bai-Haak, during which they preached in the village itself, as well as in the villages of Sosnovka and Durgen, participated in divine services at the local church of St. Nikita of Novgorod and held public talks with those wishing to be baptized.
On July 21, the participants of the congress visited the villages of the Kaakhemsky district - Saryg—Sep, Derzig-Aksy and Ust-Buren. On July 22, the missionaries went around the village of Khadyn in the Piykhemsky district with a sermon, after which they visited the Prince Vladimir Monastery in Turan with an excursion.
On July 23 and 24, the participants of the congress were in the village of Boyarovka, where they took part in the preparations for the Great Consecration of the church built in the village in honor of the martyrs Vera, Nadezhda, Lyubov and their mother Sofia, and on July 25 in the celebrations on the occasion of the consecration of the temple.
On the final day of the congress, on July 26, an excursion to the National Museum of the Republic of Tyva, as well as to the lakes of Duskhol and Khadyn was organized for the participants.
