The joint efforts of the team of the Native Shrines Foundation for the Promotion of the Revival of Cultural, Historical and Spiritual Heritage with the families of the fallen heroes of the special military operation, employees of public organizations and government officials in the church of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg of Kemerovo continue the implementation of the beautification project of the Alley of Memory of the fallen Heroes of the special military operation.
Work is regularly carried out to decorate and improve the space of the alley: work is underway to install and paint the fence, mow the grass, and water the blue fir trees planted in memory of the Heroes who fell in defense of the Motherland. The conditions are equipped for the artist to work on the image on the memorial stone installed in the center of the alley. The scheduled duration of the artwork is 2 weeks. A 7.5-meter-high Cross of Worship with an icon of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg is ready for installation.

The calling of the future Primate to episcopal ministry was formally established by a resolution of the Holy Synod in early March 1976; on the eve of the consecration, the rite of nomination took place, and on March 14—on the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy—at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad theological schools, was consecrated Bishop of Vyborg.

Exactly 50 years ago, on March 13, 1976, at the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian at the Leningrad Theological Academy, the rite of nomination took place; and on the following day, March 14, the First Sunday of Great Lent, the Feast of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, during the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra in Leningrad, the episcopal consecration of Archimandrite Kirill — the future Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ — was performed. The service was presided over by the ever-memorable Metropolitan Nikodim (Rotov), whom His Holiness Patriarch Kirill calls his spiritual mentor and teacher.
