On July 30, 2026, in the city of Zarechny, Penza region, the solemn consecration of the monument to the holy tsar-Passion-Bearer Nicholas II, installed on the territory of the church of St. Seraphim of Sarov, took place.
The significant event brought together many believers and honored guests. Among the guests were the heads of the city administration, Boris Korchevnikov, General Director and general producer of the Spas TV channel, Pavel Astakhov, Honored Lawyer of Russia, public figure and TV presenter, as well as representatives of law enforcement agencies and public organizations.
The rite of consecration of the monument was performed by the rector of the church of St. Seraphim of Sarov, Priest Viktor Storozhev. At the end of the service, the priest addressed the audience and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Pavel Astakhov and Boris Korchevnikov for the monument presented to the city.

The calling of the future Primate to episcopal ministry was formally established by a resolution of the Holy Synod in early March 1976; on the eve of the consecration, the rite of nomination took place, and on March 14—on the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy—at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad theological schools, was consecrated Bishop of Vyborg.

Exactly 50 years ago, on March 13, 1976, at the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian at the Leningrad Theological Academy, the rite of nomination took place; and on the following day, March 14, the First Sunday of Great Lent, the Feast of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, during the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra in Leningrad, the episcopal consecration of Archimandrite Kirill — the future Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ — was performed. The service was presided over by the ever-memorable Metropolitan Nikodim (Rotov), whom His Holiness Patriarch Kirill calls his spiritual mentor and teacher.
