The Russian Orthodox Church understands the difficulties of the canonical episcopate, clergy and believers in Ukraine, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia said.
"Times are difficult, but the Church has consolidated. It is a great sorrow for me what is happening in Ukraine today, but I will not talk about it much. We understand the difficulties that our episcopate, clergy, and faithful people are experiencing in Ukraine. And we must pray that the Lord will help our Church in Ukraine to go through all the trials without losing its authority among the faithful people of all Holy Russia," the patriarch said at the first general meeting of the clergy of the Moscow Metropolia in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
The Church shared the worries and pain of the entire nation during the Great Patriotic War, and today it must share the worries and pain of those who are going through the hardest trials associated with military operations, the Patriarch stressed.
The Patriarch assured that the Church understands the difficulties of the clergy in Ukraine
