On the day of commemoration of the venerable robe of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Blachernae, on July 15, 2026, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Cathedral of the Resurrection in Kyzyl.
The divine service was led by His Eminence Theophan, Archbishop of Korea, administrator of the Kyzyl Diocese.
At the end of the Liturgy, Archbishop Theophan addressed those present in the church with a sermon.
On the same day, the plenary session of the 10th Missionary Congress opened in the assembly hall of the Diocesan Administration. His Eminence Theophan addressed the participants and guests of the congress with a welcoming speech. Reports were made by Priest Philip Ponomarev and the head of the missionary department of the Kyzyl Diocese, Anthony Dulevich. At the end of the meeting, graduates of the missionary courses were awarded diplomas.
The congress was attended by guests from Moscow, Ulan-Ude, Barnaul, Yalta, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk and the Republic of Khakassia.

March 14, 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill. This is not merely a personal jubilee, but a date of profound significance for the fullness of the Church as a whole, because episcopal consecration is the moment of assuming a special responsibility for the people of God and a witness to the Church’s fidelity to apostolic succession. The calling of the future Primate to episcopal ministry was formally established by a resolution of the Holy Synod in early March 1976; on the eve of the consecration, the rite of nomination took place, and on March 14—on the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy—at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad theological schools, was consecrated Bishop of Vyborg.

By the decision of His Holiness Patriarch Pimen and the Holy Synod of March 3, 1976, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad Theological Academy and Seminary, was elected Bishop of Vyborg, vicar of the Leningrad Diocese.

Exactly 50 years ago, on March 13, 1976, at the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian at the Leningrad Theological Academy, the rite of nomination took place; and on the following day, March 14, the First Sunday of Great Lent, the Feast of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, during the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra in Leningrad, the episcopal consecration of Archimandrite Kirill — the future Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ — was performed. The service was presided over by the ever-memorable Metropolitan Nikodim (Rotov), whom His Holiness Patriarch Kirill calls his spiritual mentor and teacher.
