The XI Orthodox Literary and musical festival "Souls of the Transfiguration of the Lyre" was held in the village of Bernovo, Staritsky Municipal District.
The event was attended by more than 150 people from different parts of Russia: St. Petersburg, Moscow, Udomli, Staritsy, Ostashkov, Tver, as well as from the villages of Bernovo, Lukovnikovo, Vysokoe and the village of Kravotyn. The founders of the festival are the parish of the Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God in the village of Bernovo, the A.S. Pushkin Museum (in Bernovo), a branch of the Tver State United Museum, and the Administration of the Staritsky Municipal District.
The festival was held in two stages. At the first, in absentia, the jury determined the best participants who were invited to the gala concert. Following its results, a solemn awarding ceremony was held. In addition, special awards were presented by the head of the Staritsky district, the head of the A.S. Pushkin Museum and the rector of the church in honor of the Assumption of the Mother of God in the village of Bernovo, Staritsky district, as well as the prize of the A.Nikulin Foundation "Pure Waters".

March 14, 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill. This is not merely a personal jubilee, but a date of profound significance for the fullness of the Church as a whole, because episcopal consecration is the moment of assuming a special responsibility for the people of God and a witness to the Church’s fidelity to apostolic succession. The calling of the future Primate to episcopal ministry was formally established by a resolution of the Holy Synod in early March 1976; on the eve of the consecration, the rite of nomination took place, and on March 14—on the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy—at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad theological schools, was consecrated Bishop of Vyborg.

By the decision of His Holiness Patriarch Pimen and the Holy Synod of March 3, 1976, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad Theological Academy and Seminary, was elected Bishop of Vyborg, vicar of the Leningrad Diocese.

Exactly 50 years ago, on March 13, 1976, at the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian at the Leningrad Theological Academy, the rite of nomination took place; and on the following day, March 14, the First Sunday of Great Lent, the Feast of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, during the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra in Leningrad, the episcopal consecration of Archimandrite Kirill — the future Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ — was performed. The service was presided over by the ever-memorable Metropolitan Nikodim (Rotov), whom His Holiness Patriarch Kirill calls his spiritual mentor and teacher.
