August 5, 2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the canonization of the righteous warrior Feodor Ushakov. To mark this memorable date, the initiative group for the construction of the temple of the Righteous Warrior Theodore Ushakov in Levoberezhny, Moscow, organized a large-scale pilgrimage "Ushakov Routes", which runs from August 2 to 5.
On August 2, the head of the Central Asian Metropolitan District, Honorary rector of the church, Metropolitan Vikenty of Tashkent and Uzbekistan, celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the territory of the Church of the Righteous Warrior Theodore Ushakov under construction in Levoberezhny.
Participants of the Ushakov Routes pilgrimage, parishioners and guests of the parish prayed during the service.
At the end of the Liturgy, the ship anchors handed over to the parish by the residents of Sevastopol and the Black Sea Fleet were consecrated, as well as a prayer service for the soldiers. Then the ceremony of laying flowers to the bust of the admiral took place.
Vladyka Vincent addressed the faithful with an archpastoral address. "Military strength is one thing, military skill is another. And the other is morality, spirituality. This is also a great power. When these two sides of our life exist, then there is victory, then there are good results, then there is joy in our achievements," the bishop said in particular.
The guests of honor also addressed the audience. Among them are Admiral V.P. Valuev, commander of the Baltic Fleet of the Russian Navy in 2001-2006, chairman of the Admiralty Council for the construction of the Church of the Righteous warrior Theodore Ushakov in Levoberezhny, and Admiral V.P. Komoyedov, who participated in the canonization of the righteous Theodore Ushakov 25 years ago.
Admiral V.P. Valuev noted that the righteous Admiral Theodore Ushakov fought many battles and did not lose any of them. Not a single ship under his command was captured by the enemy.
A.N. Asafov, a member of the Public Chamber of Moscow, said: "It is a great pleasure for me to be here with you on this day, because this year and this place are filled with deep symbolism: 330 years of the Navy, 120 years of the Submarine Fleet, 110 years of Naval Aviation and many more important dates that we intertwined in one important year for us. The anchor, the fish, and even the whale in whose belly the prophet Jonah dwelt remind us that Orthodoxy is inextricably linked to the sea and water. Today's dedication of the anchors speaks of strength, loyalty and honor, the preservation of our historical truth and our faith."
Then the pilgrimage trip "Ushakov routes" started. The participants went to the city of Kostroma, where the grand opening of the bust of Feodor Ushakov took place. 
On August 3, commemorative events were held in the village of Hopylevo, Yaroslavl region, the birthplace of the holy Admiral. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the church of the Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky, followed by a procession.
On August 4, the program will continue in Mordovia. The technical opening of the bust of the admiral will take place on the field of mourning of the Mordovian Golgotha in Chufarovo. In the evening, the pilgrims will arrive at the Nativity of the Mother of God Sanaksar Monastery, where the relics of the righteous warrior Feodor Ushakov rest. An evening episcopal service will be held within the walls of the monastery.
The culmination of the project will be on August 5, the day of the church glorification of the righteous warrior Feodor Ushakov. A shrine with the relics of Saint Theodore will be transferred from the Sanaksar Monastery to the Cathedral of the Righteous Warrior Theodore Ushakov in Saransk, where a festive Divine Liturgy will be celebrated. The leadership of the Republic of Mordovia and the guests of honor will take part in the solemn laying of flowers at the monument to the admiral.
The festive events will continue with the unveiling of the bust of the famous naval commander in the Orthodox gymnasium named after St. Theodore Ushakov, after which the participants of the trip will meet with the youth of the republic.
In Saransk, participants will also get acquainted with the progress of work on the creation of a commemorative mural with the image of Admiral Fyodor Ushakov on the end of a nine-story building. It will be the largest image of the righteous warrior Feodor Ushakov in the world — its area will be about 600 m2. 
On the same day, the participants of the Ushakov Routes pilgrimage will travel back to Moscow.
