On May 26, 2026, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, who, with the blessing of His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, was on a short visit to Egypt, attended the small consecration of the church in honor of All Saints who Shone Forth in the Land of Egypt, which is located on a site being built by the State Atomic Energy Corporation. energy of the Rosatom nuclear power plant.
The service at the newly consecrated church was performed by Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Konstantin of Cairo and North Africa, and Bishop Euthymius of Lukhovitsky, who were co-served by Hieromonk Mitrofan (Soldatenko), cleric of the Egyptian Deanery of the North African Diocese, Priest Dimitri Gurov, and cleric of the Tikhvin Diocese, Protodeacon Georgy Stefanov.
The church was attended by First Deputy Director General for Atomic Energy of the State Corporation Rosatom, President of JSC Atomstroyexport (ASE) A.Yu. Petrov, General Director of JSC Scientific and Production Association NEPT N.D. Kostyuchkov and numerous believers from among the plant staff.
At the end of the service, Metropolitan Anthony addressed the audience with an archpastoral address. Special words of gratitude were addressed to the head of JSC NEPT, N.D. Kostyuchkov, through whose efforts the newly consecrated church was built and decorated.
Then a concert of the Alexander Svirsky Monastery choir took place in the refectory hall.
