As part of the Christmas campaign "Multiply Love in the World", parishioners of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Church at the Ural State Mining University sent humanitarian aid to soldiers in the Special Military Operation (SMO) zone, including a unit where one of their fellow parishioners serves.
According to the diocesan website, funds for the gifts were raised during a charity drive at the "Raduga Park" shopping center. With the active support of the parish rector, Archpriest Igor Bachinin, over 100 pairs of warm footwear—including felt boots, insulated combat boots, and winterized shoes—were purchased. Each pair was accompanied by woolen socks, gloves, chocolate, and greeting cards. Additionally, camouflage nets and trench candles were sent to the frontlines.
The St. Nicholas parish also extended Christmas greetings to the residents of the Home of Mercy, large families, and elderly individuals. The holiday program included a concert and gifts prepared by the sisters of mercy and parishioners.
The St. Nicholas Church is an active participant in the diocesan initiative "Gift for a Hero". This year, parishes across the Urals collected over 5,000 gifts for SMO participants, continuing to bring the light of Christmas and support to all in need.
