For the first time in the history of the settlement, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the village of Pervomaisky in the Nukut district. The service at the local Prayer house in honor of the Savior Not Made with Hands was performed by Priest Vladimir Dubrovsky, rector of the Transfiguration Church in the village of Novonukutsky.
The path to the first Liturgy took two years of hard work and prayer by the local community. Having had no permanent temple since the founding of the village, May Day believers gathered for prayer in the village club, sports complex and administration building. Over time, the community managed to find its own building: the former village store was completely cleaned, whitewashed, decorated and prepared for worship by parishioners and benefactors.
The first Liturgy became a real Easter for the village. The prayer house was filled with people, many of whom came as whole families. The villagers confessed and received communion of the Holy Mysteries of Christ. Immediately after the Liturgy, Father Vladimir performed the Sacrament of Baptism, after which the parish community was filled with new brothers and sisters. After the service, Father Vladimir addressed the parishioners with a pastoral address, warmly thanking the community for their fruitful efforts to equip the Prayer House and for the cordial welcome.
