The Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission will present in Moscow a photo exhibition dedicated to the service of volunteers in Donbas and Novorossiya. The open—air exhibition will be presented throughout July in two parks in Moscow at once - on the territory of the museum-estate "Lyublino" and in Tagansky Park.
The official opening will take place on July 3. The audience will be introduced to the history of the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission, the concept of the exhibition will be presented and a documentary about the service of volunteers will be offered for viewing.
The exhibition will feature photographs of ordinary people from different professions who volunteered and went to help those who had nothing left. Visitors will see the volunteers in their usual professional environment and at the same time during their volunteer service. Photo stands will reveal to viewers why these ordinary people went to the conflict zone to help those in need.
"Thanks to the work of the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission's volunteers, thousands of Donbas residents are receiving the necessary assistance. But the main thing is that human hearts are warming up. Volunteers selflessly travel to the affected regions, sometimes on their only vacation, crossing half of the country to rebuild destroyed homes, take care of lonely disabled and elderly people at home, and work in hospitals. Volunteers not only eliminate visible traces of hostilities, but also restore people's faith in goodness and mercy," said Deacon Igor Kulikov, director of the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission.
The exhibition was prepared with the assistance of the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service of the Russian Orthodox Church. Admission to the exhibition is free.
