The St. Seraphim of Sarov Charitable Foundation has announced the start of accepting applications for the Seraphim Teacher — 2027 pedagogical competition. Teachers and specialists in the field of education who implement projects of spiritual and moral education and upbringing of children and youth are invited to participate.
The competition has been held since 2005 with the support of the office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District. Its main goal is to support teachers, develop effective educational practices and increase public recognition of the work of teachers engaged in spiritual, moral and patriotic education.
Over the years of the competition's existence, more than eight thousand teaching staff from 86 regions of Russia and neighboring countries have participated in it.
Participants can present author's educational programs, methodological developments and implemented pedagogical projects. The competition covers various levels of education, from pre—school to higher education, including vocational and continuing education.
Separate areas are devoted to the management and development of the educational sphere, as well as pedagogical initiatives in the field of culture and mass media.
The organizers pay special attention to projects that help form moral guidelines for the younger generation, preserve spiritual and cultural traditions, and foster respect for Russia's history and heritage.

Summing up the results and awarding the winners traditionally take place within the framework of the international conference "The Legacy of St. Seraphim of Sarov and current issues of spiritual and moral education" at the Holy Trinity Seraphim-Diveevsky Convent in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The Serafimov Teacher competition provides teachers with the opportunity not only to receive recognition and support, but also to share their experiences with colleagues, present successful practices of spiritual and moral education and contribute to the development of national education.
