An ecological courtyard was opened at the parish of St. Nicholas of Japan Church in Minsk. The space was created as part of the "Green Sunday School in a Church Parish" project with the support of the International Grant Competition "Orthodox Initiative — 2025".
The ecological courtyard is located on the territory of an orchard and a flower garden. There are information stands and interactive objects, as well as a space for extracurricular activities, excursions and workshops for children and adults.
The courtyard will be a continuation of the Kamennaya Gorka ecological trail, which attracts young naturalists, school volunteer groups and residents of Minsk.
The participants of the event took a tour of the ecological courtyard and the trail to get acquainted with the concept of the project, its goals and opportunities for teachers and parents, and also heard a story about how parish life combines with caring for the environment and fostering a responsible attitude to nature.
