The Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova presented the young Serbian vocalist Pavlina Radovanovic with a rare icon for the church in Kosovo and Metohija.
At the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Pavlina was received by the Minister of Culture of Russia Olga Lyubimova. As a gift from her and Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea, the girl received an icon with dedication and words of admiration for her courage, love and faith in the triumph of Orthodoxy.
The list from the icon, before which the Great Vicar of the Pskov-Pechersk Monastery, Archimandrite Alipiy himself prayed, is a very rare iconographic work: a shoulder image of the smiling Lord Jesus Christ. In the future, the icon will be transferred to the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Orahovets.
The first meeting of Pavlina Radovanovich and Olga Lyubimova took place last August in Moscow, during Pavlina's participation in the International Children's Cultural Forum of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
Pavlina will end her 10-day trip to Russia with a charity concert in support of her native Kosovo on November 25 at the Church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos in Moscow.
Pavlina Radovanovic from Serbia, Orahovac in Kosovo and Metohija, is a performer of Serbian folk and author's songs. Already at the age of 12, Pavlina gave her first solo concert, and this venue was the Russian House in Belgrade. With the blessing of Bishop Teodosi of Rashko-Prizren, the funds received from her charity concerts go to the maintenance and preservation of the shrines of her native Kosovo.
