On July 23, 2026, with the blessing of Archbishop Sophrony of Mogilev and Mstislavsky, a traditional procession will be held in honor of the Barkolabovo Icon of the Mother of God, which is celebrated on July 24.
The route, about 40 kilometers long, will run from St. Nicholas Convent in Mogilev to St. Ascension Convent in the village of Barkolabovo, Bykhovsky district, where the miraculous image resides.
The exit from St. Nicholas Monastery is scheduled for 6:30. On the way, the participants will visit the Buinicheskoe field, where a rest stop and prayer service for the soldiers will be held from 9:00 to 10:00.
At 10:00, the procession will continue in the direction of the chapel in the village of Saltanovka. A prayer service for the repose of the soldiers will also be held here from 11:00 to 11:30. Then the pilgrims will pass through the village of Saltanovka and the agro-town of Dashkovka.
Arrival in Barkolabovo is scheduled for 20:30. An overnight stay will be arranged for the participants in the gym, so it is necessary to bring appropriate supplies.
The procession will be accompanied by a minibus, which can accommodate overnight accommodation.
On July 24, at 9:00 a.m., the Holy Ascension Convent will host a festive divine service in honor of the Barkolab Icon of the Mother of God.
