In the village of Fifth Mountain in the Volosovsky district (Leningrad region), the ruins of the Trinity Church were preserved, the Telegram channel "Living City" reported.
Work on the conservation of the temple began at the end of October last year, as then told the chairman of the Committee for the preservation of the cultural heritage of the Leningrad region, Vladimir Tsoi.

The Trinity Church, resembling ancient temples in appearance, was built in the traditions of classicism in 1828-1831 in the Brisskorn Fifth Mountain estate. During the construction of the temple, a fragile material was used — marl, mined at nearby quarries, one of which is now known as Lake Donzo.
The temple successfully survived the revolution and the Great Patriotic War and was even open for worship, but peacetime did not spare it. In the 1960s, the domes of the church were partially demolished. In the seventies, the temple was planned to be converted into a club for Soviet workers, but the project was not implemented. Nevertheless, already at this time, the rapid destruction of the temple began due to precipitation falling into the interior. The church is now virtually in ruins.
