On the eve of the feast of the Bright Resurrection of Christ, the scouts of the Organization of Russian Young Scouts, waiting for a special flight that brought the Holy Fire to Russia, gathered on the territory of the church of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg on Filatov Meadow in Moscow.
The meeting and the transfer of the Holy Fire were attended by the acting rector of the temple, the deputy chairman of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs, Priest Alexy Solovyov. The priest thanked the leadership of the Organization of Russian Young Scouts.
Members of the Organization of Russian Young Scouts traditionally met the Holy Fire in order to further spread it across the regions of Russia.
The cooperation agreement between the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs and the Organization of Russian Young Scouts was signed on December 27, 2021. This made it possible to consolidate the working relationship that has developed over the more than 30 years of cooperation between the Church and this organization in the field of youth ministry and education of the younger generation.
