The Sretensky Festival of Orthodox Youth has started in the Ural capital

With the blessing of Metropolitan Evgeny of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye, the Candlemas Festival, dedicated to the World Orthodox Youth Day and the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, started in Yekaterinburg on February 6, 2026.
Within the framework of the festival, which will be held in the Ural capital until February 20, 2026, a rich program is planned: festive divine services, charity events, ethnographic trips, a youth forum and a discussion debate. Participants will also be able to attend a film screening, creative and educational meetings, take part in an interuniversity intellectual game and, of course, in the traditional Sretensky ball.
–The Sretensky Youth Festival in the Yekaterinburg Diocese is a significant event aimed at the spiritual and cultural development of Orthodox youth," said Priest Seraphim Kadura, head of the youth department of the Yekaterinburg Diocese, cleric of the Voznesensky Episcopal Court. – The festival will combine different forms of activity and allow participants to express themselves and strengthen faith in the Lord.
