On June 3, 2026, the jubilee Zosimov readings were held at the Trinity-Odigitrievsky Stavropol Convent of Zosimov Deserts, dedicated to the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the monastery, which will be held in December this year. The main topic of discussion this year was "The Trinity-Odigitrievskaya Zosimova Desert in the light of new historical data."
According to tradition, the Zosimov readings were held jointly with the Metropolitan of Smolensk, as well as with the participation of representatives of the Mogilev diocese and the metropolitan clergy.
The readings were preceded by the Divine Liturgy, which, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, was led by Metropolitan Isidore of Smolensk and Dorogobuzhsky, co-served by the clergy of Moscow, Smolensk, Mogilev and the clergy of the Trinity Monastery.
Of particular interest was the new information about the fate of the exiled nuns of our monastery, which was reported by the Candidate of Historical Sciences, PhD, associate professor of MGLU, Priest Dimitri Safonov in the report "Rector of the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Tashirovo Archpriest. Alexy Chestnov and the nuns of the Zosimov Monastery in 1929-1932." Natalia Georgievna Petrova, a historian, writer, and member of the Writers' Union of Russia, told about the amazing fate of Sofia Renovenskaya, a local teacher, the daughter of a priest. For thirteen years, Renovalenskaya taught school children in the village. Kuznetsovo, from which most of the nuns of our monastery came.
