An important spiritual event took place in the Penza diocese: a family that had previously been attracted to neo-Paganism found its way back to Orthodoxy. The rite of joining the Church was performed by the head of the missionary department of the Penza Diocese, Priest Pavel Kolesnikov.
The family members, realizing the perniciousness of their previous errors, repented and expressed a firm desire to return to the origins of the Orthodox faith.
"We welcome everyone who returns to the bosom of the Church," said Priest Pavel Kolesnikov. – This is evidence that the Lord does not abandon a person, even when he goes astray. Our task is to meet such people with love and help them rediscover Christ and the true faith, warning them against those teachings that lead away from salvation."
On this occasion, the missionary department of the Penza Diocese again found it necessary to issue a warning about the dangers of becoming addicted to neo-Paganism. Neo-pagan cults, despite their apparent appeal and appeal to "roots," are actually destructive pseudo-religious movements. They can lead to spiritual devastation, loss of moral guidance, and sometimes to the destruction of family ties.
True faith and salvation are found only in Christ and His Church, and the search for "alternative" paths often turns into deep disappointment and dangerous spiritual experiments. The Missionary Department urges all believers to be vigilant and avoid involvement in sects and non-traditional religious movements, emphasizing the importance of preserving the purity of the Orthodox faith.
