The Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service has allocated 500,000 rubles for the development of a Home for the mother of the Magnitogorsk Diocese. The project became one of the winners of the second competition of church family projects of the Synodal Department for Charity, aimed at supporting family, motherhood, fatherhood and childhood.
The allocated funds have already been used to purchase the necessary equipment and household appliances — storage racks, washing machines. A sewing machine and an overlock will also be purchased as part of the grant.
"Thanks to the funds of the Synodal Department for Charity, we will be able to launch another new project — training in sewing skills. Not only women who live in the House for Mothers will be able to study, but also women who are registered with us," said Archpriest Valery Marfin, head of the Magnitogorsk House for Mothers.
Magnitogorsk mom's house was opened in 2018. During this time, more than 70 women with children have received assistance here. Women are provided with psychological, legal and humanitarian assistance in the Mother's Home, and temporary housing is provided.
