On November 6, 2026, the exhibition "Life in Service", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, opened in the Gallery of the Russian Peace Foundation on Tverskaya Boulevard in Moscow.
The exposition includes ten thematic sections reflecting the main stages of the Primate's life and ministry. The photographs tell about his work as rector of Leningrad Theological Schools, his ministry at the Smolensk Department and in Kaliningrad, and his leadership of the Department for External Church Relations. The main part of the exhibition is devoted to the Patriarchal ministry.
The opening ceremony was attended by Bishop Methodius of Yegoryevsk, Rector of St. Tikhon's Orthodox University for the Humanities, Vladimir Legoyda, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Church-Society Relations and the Media, Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Peace Foundation, and other guests.
Bishop Methodius expressed the hope that the photographs taken over the years would help visitors gain a holistic view of the Primate's life and personality, his prayerful ministry and attitude towards people.
Vladimir Legoyda said that regional exhibitions based on the materials of the Patriarch's Press Service will be held in 50 dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church. These expositions are complemented by photographs of diocesan press services taken during Primatial visits.
The project "Life in Ministry" was prepared by the Press Service of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia with the assistance of the Synodal Department for Church Relations with Society and the Media. The exhibition was first presented in July 2026 in Yekaterinburg. The Moscow exposition is organized with the support of the Russian Peace Foundation, the Pyotr Baryshnikov Foundation for the Development of Art and Photography and the ProLab production center.
