On October 29, 2026, a regular meeting of the Public Council on Morality was held in Minsk. It was headed by the co-chairmen of the Council, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavsky and Chairman of the public association "Union of Writers of Belarus" Ales Karlyukevich.
The participants observed a minute of silence in memory of writer Nikolai Cherginets, who was at the origin of the creation of the Council, and a member of the Council, poet Alexander Kazeko.
The meeting participants were informed about the activities of the Council from June to October 2026. It was noted that in October, the campaign "Me and my family without profanity" was held, and to date, more than 120 works have been submitted to the III St. Kirill Turovsky Open Literary competition "In Harmony with oneself and the World".
The issue of the distribution of gambling advertising, the release of themed videos for young people and their placement on social networks were also discussed. A draft document on the moral and ethical aspect of presence and activity in the Internet space, prepared on the basis of the Council's discussion of this issue in February and June 2026, was considered.
In addition, there was talk of nominating candidates for the award of the honorary diploma of the Council.
