Celebrations in honor of the "Joy of All Who Sorrow" icon took place at the Kremenets Epiphany Convent, as reported by the Information and Enlightenment Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Thousands of believers congregated to pay their respects to the convent's chief relic.

The feast day of the "Joy of All Who Sorrow" icon is celebrated on November 6th. The icon depicts the Mother of God in radiant glory, surrounded by people afflicted with ailments and sorrows, along with angels bestowing blessings in her name. According to tradition, this image was first glorified in 1648 in Moscow in the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" (Transfiguration) on Bolshaya Ordynka Street, which is believed to be its current location.

The festive liturgy was led by Metropolitan Sergius of Ternopil and Kremenets. The service saw the participation of the Abbess of the Kremenets Convent, Mother Dimitria (Holyuk), along with her sisters, as well as the Abbesses and residents of other women's monasteries of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

The convent's cathedral could not accommodate all the pilgrims who came to participate in the service, with many believers praying outside. Following the liturgy, a festive cross procession was held around the monastery with the miraculous icon.

In September, the Ternopil Eparchy reported that the Kremenets Women's Monastery was facing the threat of closure. The authorities of the Ternopil region did not renew the lease agreement for the monastery buildings and demanded that the nuns vacate the premises. When they refused, the electricity supply to the monastery was disconnected. Subsequently, the authorities demanded that the local community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church also vacate and transfer the St. Nicholas Cathedral in Kremenets to the state.
