""Rehabilitation" "Therapeutic Community"" two-day seminar was held at the Raduga Center for Social Assistance and Rehabilitation in Kimry, Tver region, on September 15-16, 2026. The seminar was attended by 20 specialists who help people overcome addiction and return to a fulfilling life. These are employees of church and secular social projects helping dependent people from seven dioceses — Moscow (city), Yekaterinburg, Petrozavodsk, Murmansk, St. Petersburg, Rybinsk, Serdobskaya.
The seminar began with a prayer service for the beginning of a good deed, which was performed by Archpriest Andrey Lazarev, rector of the Church of the Ascension of the Lord in Kimry, director of the "Rainbow" center.
The seminar participants got acquainted with the life and activities of the "Rainbow" center, attended traditional therapeutic events and trainings of the center. At the end of the training, the head of "Rainbow" Archpriest Andrey Lazarev presented all participants with certificates of completion of the seminar.
"Raduga" Center has been operating under the "Therapeutic Community" program for 14 years. During this time, more than 2,000 students have completed the center's program. "Raduga" is one of the few centers that accepts both men and women. The "Rainbow"""s head and staff received practical training at the leading European center "Family", which operates according to the model of the "Therapeutic Community", and adapted this program to work in the Orthodox parish.
"During the seminar, the theoretical foundations of the "Therapeutic Community" model and its practical implementation were presented. This format allowed us to get to know the work of the therapeutic community as closely as possible and see how the program is implemented in real conditions. "Raduga" center specialists shared their practical experience with the seminar participants: a priest, psychologists and chemical addiction consultants, they revealed the nuances of the program based on many years of practice. I was impressed by the high effectiveness of the program, which underlines the effectiveness of the approach." This review was left by the staff of the Yaroslavl Regional Clinical Narcological Hospital following the results of the seminar: psychiatrist, narcologist Mikhail Noginov, specialist in social work Alexey Valeev, medical psychologists Yulia Kalinina and Evgeny Mozikov.
