The presentation of the book "Father Vladimir" by Ivan Solovyov took place in the scientific library. The military adventure story "Father Vladimir" was written by Ivan Solovyov, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation.
The work is dedicated to the heroic service of a priest of the Russian Orthodox Church in the zone of a special military operation, the courage and bravery of Russian servicemen.
The meeting with the author took place at the Kaliningrad Regional Scientific Library.
After Donbass, the Kaliningrad region was the first region where the story was presented.
Metropolitan Seraphim of the Baltic and Svetlogorsk addressed the guests: "I read the book in one evening and the next day I began to tell its contents at meetings with my colleagues. This is probably the best book that has been published in recent years on this topic. It illustrates the eternal Christian truth that it is necessary to sow good so that it will definitely return."
Ivan Solovyov stressed that even in his first novel "Red Lines" he tried to answer important questions about the causes and significance of the military operation. The story "Father Vladimir" continued these reflections of the author.
"On the line of contact, we need people who can provide spiritual support in time, hold a conversation and help the warrior return home – so that not a single bullet takes him. Historically, without a priest with a cross blessing in the front ranks, the victories of the Russian army are impossible," he explained the choice of the main character of the new story.
At the end of the event, the honorary participants of the meeting were awarded with a commemorative medal "For loyalty to the oath".
"Be true to yourself, keep your officer's honor," the author admonished the young cadets of military schools who attended the meeting.
The book "Father Vladimir" will be given to military personnel who are being treated at a military hospital, as well as to libraries in the region.
