The Publishing House of the Moscow Patriarchate has published the book by G. Pavlov "Lamps of the Truth of Christ. The First Ecumenical Council in Nicaea." 
The book is dedicated to the most important event in the history of Christianity — the First Ecumenical Council — and is dedicated to the 1700th anniversary of its holding. It tells about the reasons for holding the Council, what issues were discussed at its meetings and what decisions were taken.
The new edition also includes brief descriptions of the ascetic life of the saints who played an important role in the victory of Orthodoxy over Arianism, including Alexander, Archbishop of Alexandria, Athanasius the Great, Eustathius, Bishop of Antioch, Hosea, Bishop of Korduba, Spyridon, Bishop of Trimifunt, and other holy fathers of the Church.
The book is preceded by a message to the readers of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.:
"Thanks to the dogmas of the First Ecumenical Council, the exploits of the Nicene Fathers, St. Nicholas and the Wonderworker, we live in a world where God is at the center. We are the Church of Christ, which unshakeably professes that it is God who is the Master of history and no one can take His place. And if we believe that God is at the center, then this means that His law and His commandments are absolutely true and require a person to live only according to the Divine word, because only such a life can give true happiness and true fullness of being."
