An official inauguration ceremony for the monument of Alexander Nevsky took place in Andrijevica, Montenegro.
The monument was erected through the efforts of the Russian community, the Russian Embassy, and the Serbian Orthodox Church. Two busts created by the sculptor Aydin Zeynalov were installed in the local church.
"The Russian Embassy in Belgrade and the Russian Embassy in Montenegro, along with the Serbian Orthodox Church, will open two busts by the famous Russian sculptor, academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Aydin Zeynalov, on Orthodox holidays - on the day of the memory of Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky, thanks to the efforts of the Russian House in Belgrade, the Russian Embassy in Montenegro, and the Serbian Orthodox Church. It is worth noting that the monuments will be a gift from the Russian sculptor to the people of Montenegro," stated the Press Service of the Russian State Duma.
These monuments by the Russian sculptor were presented as a gift to the people of Montenegro and were unveiled on the Day of Remembrance of Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky.
