Elementary and secondary school children have prepared a theatrical production of "The Little Cook," based on the feat of a real cook, Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Pavlovich Sereda, who was able to capture the crew of a German tank alone.
The memory of the heroes was also honored at the Nikolsky courtyard of the Bogoroditsky Hermitage Convent.
At the monument to the Unknown Soldier in the village of Krapivnya in the Ostashkovsky district, where fierce battles took place in the Rzhev gap, a prayer of thanks to the Lord God was held on the site of the former military airfield for granting victory in the Great Patriotic War and commemorating the deceased soldiers who laid down their lives for faith, Fatherland and people, and all those who died painfully during the war.
