On the night of July 16-17, 2026, the Spas TV channel held a six—hour Moscow-Yekaterinburg telethon.
Presenters Andrey Afanasyev, Jan Taksur and guests of the studio of the Spas TV channel, along with the marathon audience, supported the participants of the annual Royal procession, which took place from the Memorial Church on Blood in Yekaterinburg to the monastery on Ganina Yama, and also launched a broad discussion of the Russian catastrophe of the early twentieth century, the events of the last days of life and the sacrifice of the Royal family.
The large-scale broadcast was seen by hundreds of thousands of viewers across Russia on television, as well as on the sites of the Spas TV channel on the Internet.
The "Tsar's Days" are held on the anniversary of the spiritual feat of the Royal Passion-Bearers who died as martyrs in Yekaterinburg in July 1918. Tens of thousands of believers come to the Memorial Church on the Blood to prayerfully honor the memory of the holy Royal family and their faithful subjects on the night of July 16-17, when a terrible atrocity was committed.
Last night, more than 44,000 people took part in the divine service and the procession, including pilgrims from different regions of Russia and foreign countries, and hundreds of thousands more viewers of the Spas TV channel were able to take part in the commemorative events.
"We are following the path that the lifeless bodies of the royal family were transported 108 years ago. This road, exactly where we are walking now, was watered with royal blood, committed at night, so as to hide this atrocity. But you know, according to Tertullian, the blood of the martyrs became the seed from which the Church grows. Today, this idea is being confirmed. Tens of thousands of people today are following in these footsteps, along the road washed with royal blood, and are going to Christ and leading their children, I believe, our entire country. And today I am trying to follow this path with the hope that our country, each of the participants, will be especially covered with the love of the royal family," said Metropolitan Evgeny of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye.
The five-hour procession took place along the route: Tsarskaya St. — Tolmacheva St. — ave. Lenin Street — Tatishcheva Street — Tokarei Street — Khalturina Street — Technical street — Reshetskaya Street — Railway forest Park — village Shuvakish — Ganina Yama tract (21 kilometers). It ended with a prayer service at mine No. 7 in the Royal Monastery.
In the near future, Yekaterinburg will have another memorable place associated with the royal family. On the initiative of the Spas TV channel, together with the Yekaterinburg Diocese, a mural with the image of the holy Tsar Nicholas II will be created. The author of the monumental painting will be the artist Sergey Khramov.
On the 108th anniversary of the execution of the Royal Family, the Spas TV channel held a six—hour Moscow -Yekaterinburg telethon.
