On August 31, 2026, Metropolitan Varsonofy of St. Petersburg and Ladoga celebrated a prayer service before the right hand of St. Spyridon of Trimifunt in the Kazan Cathedral of St. Petersburg.
His Eminence was accompanied by Archpriest Sergiy Kuksevich, Secretary of the St. Petersburg Diocesan Administration; Archpriest Igor Aksenov, Secretary of the Diocesan Administration of the Vyborg Diocese; Archpriest Andrey Gerasimov, the cathedral's clerk; Archpriest Alexander Pashkov, Chairman of the parish Council; the cathedral's clergy; and the clergy of the St. Petersburg Archdiocese. The cathedral choir sang under the direction of Svetlana Rumyantseva.
The service was attended by Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg, Igor Rudenya, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North-Western Federal District, Sergey Rudov, Deputy Head of the World Russian People's Council, and Archimandrite Hilarion (Michael) and Archimandrite Justin (Konstantas), representatives of the Greek Orthodox Church.
The Metropolitan addressed the faithful with a welcoming speech.
The clergy and government representatives venerated the relics.
Alexander Beglov, Igor Rudenya and Metropolitan Varsonofy moved the ark from the cathedral to the car. Pskov will be the next city to receive the shrine.

The right hand of St. Spyridon of Trimifunt was brought to Russia from the island of Corfu (Greece) on August 17 with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
