On August 26, 2026, Nikolai Ruppel, Head of the administration of the Yasinovatsky Municipal District of the Donetsk People's Republic, held a working meeting with representatives of the volunteer repair team of the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission. Anatoly Pikalov, coordinator of construction volunteers in Yasinovataya, participated in the meeting on the Mission's part.
During the meeting, plans for the restoration of individual residential buildings in the settlements of the district for the near future were discussed, as well as issues of providing repair and restoration work with the necessary building materials.
Volunteers of the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission have been working in Yasinovataya, Avdiivka and other settlements of the district since 2024. They have restored over 190 private residential buildings. In addition, assistance is provided in carrying out routine repairs at temporary refugee accommodation facilities.
"Both the district administration and residents will always remember the necessary and timely support of the Russian Orthodox Church volunteers. These people work not out of greed, but out of a duty of conscience. And also because Russians don't abandon their own. And the residents of our district know and appreciate this," Nikolai Ruppel said, thanking the representatives of the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission for their contribution to the revival of the region.
The Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission was established by the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church with the aim of coordinating and systematically developing assistance to civilians in the Donetsk People's Republic, Luhansk People's Republic, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, as well as providing assistance to wounded servicemen.
There are 12 Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission assistance centers in Donbas, Novorossiya and the border regions, where over 415,000 requests have been processed. More than 4,400 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to the victims. More than 8000 volunteers participated in helping the victims. As part of the project to restore private housing for those in need in the conflict zone, 836 private homes have been restored. Volunteer priests travel in shifts to 45 hospitals in the territory of Donbass, Novorossiya and the border regions. Together with the Synodal Department for Charity, a service is working to help veterans of the SVR and their loved ones.
