On Easter Week 3, April 26, 2026, the Holy Myrrh-bearing Women celebrated a patronal celebration at the compound of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in honor of Equal-to-the-Apostles Mary Magdalene in Magdala. With the blessing of His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilus of Jerusalem, Metropolitan Cyriacus of Nazareth, Exarch of all Galilee, led the Liturgy at the compound on this festive day. 
His Eminence was co-served by Archimandrite Vassian (Zmeev), Head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, Hieromonk Philotheus (Artyushin) and Deacon Makary Petukhov, clerics of the Jerusalem Patriarchate. 
Consul General of the Russian Federation in Haifa A.V. Krasilnikov, Abbess of the Gornensky Convent in Ein Karem, Abbess Ekaterina (Chernysheva) and her sisters, Nun Alevtina (German), the elder sister of the Magdalene monastery, with the workers of the monastery, and numerous pilgrims prayed during the service.
The divine service was performed in Church Slavonic, Greek and Arabic. The hymns of the Liturgy were performed by the choir of the sisters of the Gornensky Convent. 
After the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, a procession took place, during which the head of the Mission read the Gospel conception of the feast at the Mary Magdalene spring and sprinkled the worshippers with consecrated water. 
Then Archimandrite Vassian and Metropolitan Kiriak exchanged welcoming speeches, after which, through the efforts of the workers of the metochion, the guests were offered a festive meal, the website of the Russian Orthodox Church reports.
