On October 21, 2026, the All-Russian Meeting of Heads of Educational organizations was held at the site of the E.M. Primakov Regional Gymnasium in the Moscow region under the chairmanship of the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov.
The event, which was attended by Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea, Chairman of the Patriarchal Council for Culture, Deputy Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, brought together heads, representatives of public and private schools from different regions of the country. The meeting discussed topical issues in the field of education, including the participation of the director's corps in the formation of government initiatives and updating the content of curricula.
The participants of the meeting were able to watch on the big screen a documentary about the Russian industrialist and philanthropist Nikolai Putilov, one of the series of the updated course project "Conversations about important things". The tape was presented by Metropolitan Tikhon.
"It is a great honor for me to speak to you today, this is an opportunity to share my best practices and listen to you on the topic of education. Education is the main thing that school gives to society: it educates a person, the future of our country. We have proposed to show films for children in the format of "Conversations about important things", which will be interesting for students from 6th to 11th grade. We have selected 83 heroes — those who can carry for society and schools the function of transferring the most important values from generation to generation," said Metropolitan Tikhon.
The Russian Minister of Education also noted the necessity and relevance of such films. According to Sergey Kravtsov, today schoolchildren need united heroes. "It is important to create a unified space and identify the patterns of behavior that the guys will use to further develop our country. We have done a lot of work to create a unified educational content, and the next step is the education and worldview system, which has already returned to schools. And it is important that school principals be our allies," he said. The Minister stressed that constant feedback is needed from the heads of educational institutions in order to achieve these goals.
The meeting participants discussed the process of value formation among the younger generation, what educational tools schools have, and the formats of educational work. They also discussed who the idols of young people are, what the students are looking for when choosing role models, and noted the interesting cast of characters in the new films of the Conversations about Important project, as well as the ideologist and author. The script for most of the series is written by Metropolitan Tikhon.
