The transfer of Orthodox banners for military units took place at the Sretensky Monastery in Moscow. Hieromonk Ignatius (Shestakov) handed over to the head of the military department of the Crimean Metropolia, Archpriest Dmitry Krotkov, special banner canvases with revered images: "Saved by the Uncreated Chersonese", the icon of the Mother of God "Sovereign", as well as a banner depicting the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga and the Royal Passion-Bearers.
The banners were made on the initiative and efforts of Hieromonk Ignatius (Shestakov) with the support of benefactors.
Warriors accept such a gift with deep respect and reverence.
Banners are placed in divisions, prayer is performed in front of them: after all, the canvases depict images of the Savior, the Blessed Virgin Mary and saints, who serve as a source of spiritual support and consolation for the defenders of the Fatherland.
