On July 2, 2026, the final event of the forum "The Legacy of St. Seraphim of Sarov as the basis of Sacrificial Service" took place in the church of the Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky on the territory of the Holy Trinity Seraphim-Diveevsky Monastery.
It was attended by Metropolitan George of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas, representatives of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs, clergy of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese, and forum participants.
During the meeting, Metropolitan George addressed the volunteers with a word of gratitude, noting the importance of volunteer service in the life of the Church and society. He stressed that helping others should be combined with strengthening one's own spiritual life, prayer and conversion to the Gospel.
Then the winners of the contest "Volunteer of St. Seraphim of Sarov — 2026" were awarded. The honorary title was awarded to seven participants from Vladimir, Moscow, Ulyanovsk, Arzamas, Kurchatov, Chita and Marx.
In addition, 38 participants became laureates of the competition, 72 received incentive awards, and one more participant was awarded a special award.
