The International Committee of the Red Cross has handed over to the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission a combined cargo for aid centers in the conflict zone. The shipment included household supplies, household appliances, clothing and other basic necessities.
The corresponding donation certificate was signed at a meeting between Deacon Igor Kulikov, Director of the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission, and Peter Levin, ICRC Humanitarian Policy Adviser.
The total weight of the accepted batch was about a ton. The cargo was received at a warehouse in Moscow and distributed for further shipment to the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission's aid centers.
"The need for humanitarian assistance in the affected territories remains constant. The Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission transports and transfers up to 50 tons per month to the needy residents of Donbass and the border regions. We have been working closely with the International Committee of the Red Cross since 2023. Previously, reusable cans for drinking water, building materials, flour and other necessary items were delivered to our aid centers," commented Deacon Igor Kulikov, director of the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission.
The Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission was established by the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church with the aim of coordinating and systematically developing assistance to civilians in the Donetsk People's Republic, Luhansk People's Republic, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, as well as providing assistance to wounded servicemen.
