The icon of St. Luke of Crimea was taken with prayer chants through military churches, chapels, field hospitals and advanced units.
On the memorial day of St. Luke, Confessor, Archbishop of Crimea, on June 11, military priests of the Crimean Metropolis visited military dugout churches in their area, where they performed prayer services to the saint in front of his holy icon with a particle of relics.
One of the chapels at the front is dedicated to St. Luke of Crimea; it was erected in the medical company over 3 years ago. In this chapel, the priests performed a festive prayer service, confessed and gave communion to soldiers and medical workers. At the end of the festive Service, many years were proclaimed, all the soldiers were anointed with holy oil, sprinkled with holy water, and chevrons with church symbols, belts, icons, and crosses were distributed to those who wished.
In addition to the dugout churches, the priests visited the locations of evacuation groups, medical field posts and military units on the front line, where they also performed prayers for the health of field doctors and the healing of our wounded soldiers.
Through the prayers of St. Luke, may the Lord strengthen and heal all our wounded and ailing soldiers!
It should be noted that during this trip to the SVR area, the Crimean priests handed over 20 fire extinguishers and drinking water to one of the units.
