Bishop Konstantin of Zaraysk, the head of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa, visited an orphanage in the Tanzanian city of Kisarawe on March 2nd, as reported by the exarchate's press service. With the assistance of the Russian House in Tanzania, the bishop delivered humanitarian aid to the children at the shelter.

On the same day, the hierarch visited the educational center of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa, where 20 children from Orthodox families, including those of priests, are receiving education. The educational institution is led by Father Konstantin Shoki.

Bishop Konstantin conducted a prayer service in the Saint Nina Church on the premises of the educational center. The liturgy was performed in Swahili and Church Slavonic languages. Teachers and students of the educational institution, along with representatives of the local administration and the head of the Russian House A.S. Bondaruk, gathered for the prayer.

After the prayer service, Bishop Konstantin toured the educational complex, interacted with educators and children, and engaged in a conversation with local authorities to discuss collaboration matters.

The educational center in Kisarawe initiated cooperation with the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa in 2023. Courses on the fundamentals of Orthodoxy for young people were introduced, with the overall training program spanning two years. The initiative is designed for individuals aged 15 to 20 who, due to various circumstances, couldn't pursue formal schooling. Alongside general education subjects leading to a high school certificate, participants in the courses study the Russian language and the basics of Orthodoxy.
