The publishing house of the Moscow Patriarchate has issued "Liturgical Instructions" for 2027. The annual guide is published with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and is included in the official liturgical calendar publications of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The book is compiled in accordance with the requirements of the liturgical charter, taking into account the diversity of liturgical practice. In the new issue, special attention is paid to services in honor of the new martyrs and confessors of the Russian Church. New celebrations included in the monthly calendar are also taken into account.
The application contains prayers for certain days of the year and the sequence of prayer songs. Among them are the "Prayer Chant for the Healing of seriously ill children and their parents" and the "Prayer Chant for the Admonition of those who intend to destroy the baby in the womb", approved by the Holy Synod.
The publication also contains a table of colors of liturgical vestments and an index of service options.

“Not a Laurel Wreath, but a Thorny Crown.” On the 50th Anniversary of the Episcopal Consecration of His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia

March 14, 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill. This is not merely a personal jubilee, but a date of profound significance for the fullness of the Church as a whole, because episcopal consecration is the moment of assuming a special responsibility for the people of God and a witness to the Church’s fidelity to apostolic succession. The calling of the future Primate to episcopal ministry was formally established by a resolution of the Holy Synod in early March 1976; on the eve of the consecration, the rite of nomination took place, and on March 14—on the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy—at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad theological schools, was consecrated Bishop of Vyborg.
